Profiles are not kept on visitors to our site, not even emails; unless we have been asked to use this form of communication to continue talks.
Areas to comment on articles are replaced with Talk Back forms, to maintain the privacy of visitor’s feedback.
Areas for visitors to provide emails are for those that prefer contact to continue in this fashion, as opposed to continuing through our Talk Back forms.
Since spreading hate mail can lead to great harm, follower’s feedback that contains volatile content will be treated as spam; whether they request continued communications or not.
The following is what our site hosts warn us about internet privacy:
Sadly, tracking browser use and contact info seems inadequate to protect sites against spam. Sifting through computer generated junk to locate human feedback can still cause endless apologies, for taking so long to respond to follower’s communications.
Supposedly, so called “hash strings” are created from email addresses and provided to Gravatar services; to see if users subscribe to their services.
We believe Gravatar privacy policies can be viewed through: “https://automattic.com/privacy”. Profile pictures of people that subscribe are then made visible to website browsers.
Warnings to Site Users about uploading media (i.e. images, videos, etc.)
Please avoid uploading pictures or videos with names stating what original files they came from. Swift “hackers” can access these original files and contaminate the computer environment they came from.
Warnings to Site Users about so called “Feedback Cookies” for speedier communications
Followers can choose to leave their contact details which will create these feedback cookies, to save them from repeatedly filling in these details when following-up on communications. However, these cookies can only be kept for one year to enable this speedier feedback. Otherwise, similar feedback cookies are supposedly lost once users close their browsers.
Reminders to Site Users
When following up with site communications, so called “contact cookies” are created to save your logon details and browser selections. Supposedly, these contact cookies last for two days, where those created from browser activities last for one year.
Since selecting “Remember Me” makes these detailed contact cookies last for weeks instead of days, we do not chose this option here.
Our “site security” will not deliver visitor’s comments containing mostly embedded content (e.g. videos, articles, etc.), since this can let unknown websites contaminate our detailed files, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor our browser activities.
Original contact info delivered with visitor’s feedback
Once “site security” passes visitor’s comments as “human generated feedback” and not spam, then original contact addresses will be delivered with these communications.
Supposedly, follow-up comments can be swiftly passed for approval, instead of ending up in a “queue to detect spam“. We can only hope that the lack of interest in our site is not from feedback being largely mistaken as “non human contact“.
Personal information that is stored by “Site hosts” in so called “User profiles”
Although people can ask to see or delete any info held about them by websites, please remember that contact addresses of original communications will be retained somewhere for sure, due to these spam queues and internet monitors.
What Rights You Have Over Your Contact Info
You can ask to see or erase any personal info that websites hold about you. Unfortunately, this does not include any data they are obliged to keep for security against “hacking” or legal purposes.
Users communications are supposedly monitored by internet authorities as well as spam detectors, to helps them catch “hackers”; but it seems they move faster than light.
To our knowledge we have the best security our “hosting site” can offer to protect our communications.
Unfortunately, we have been repeatedly hacked to the point of wiping out our publications; because past so called “best security offered” was not good enough to prevent this destruction. This is why we often quote from past destroyed sites to restore these communications.
Surely most users have been “hacked” at least once by now, and would appreciate receiving any advice possible that could keep this from re-occurring.
Thanks to our site responders for ensuring more private communications.
